Christmas Is Coming!

I am almost finished with all the Christmas Gifts. I have three more gift certificates to get. Tonight, we have to go to a Farm Bureau meeting. We are chairing the membership committee. I think that it will be a success. This is something new that we have never tried so it will be interesting. I have one gift that I have to finishing sewing. Hopefully, I can work on it tonight. There is always so much to do during the holidays.

We host an annual Christmas Eve party after the church services. I hope that this year many people come. I need to get a ham and a vegetable tray. My MIL always made cookies. I am afraid that this year I may not have a chance to get any made. As I look back on the year it has been successful. We are happy and healthy and everyone is loved. I can't think of a way better way to end the year.

Husbands

Somewhere out there...is another blog and it is entitled wife's. I am sure of this. Have you ever been so mad at your husband, spouse, significant other that you wanted to scream! That is how I feel today. I want my husband to be able to share hopes and dreams and talk about his goals with me. This is our daily conversation....what you do today...nothing.....what'd you do....same old. Isn't that pathetic? So, I mentioned last night that we needed to open up and talk. That was a mistake. Because the conversation immediately turned and I was the culprit. I did everything wrong and if I did the laundry and cleaned the house then live would be so much better. MEN...they can be so grrrrrrrr! Not to mentioin..why do we always have to know what they are thinking? Do I look like I carry a crystal ball around? Seriously, it is not my job to follow you around and pick your brain. You got something to say to me?.........SAY IT!
Well this is making me feel so musch better.

There is a Chill in the Air!!!

We are so busy this fall! My sister came over last night but we did not get a chance to quilt, she had to scan in pictures for a wedding she is helping with. Nate and I built fence for our baby calf, he is so cute it is hard to believe that any one would want to sell him. I am working at the sale barn tomorrow! It is hard work but I really enjoy working there. I have to go home and clean eggs. I am going to sell them at the sale barn tomorrow. I need to ask Nate to get me some straw, so that I can keep the nests clean.
I have been trying to use the FLylady concepts in every part of my life...it is not easy but I am trying. When you grow up with out any concept of what a clean house should look like or how it should be cared for, it is hard for you to get in the routine of cleaning. I am so blessed to have found flylady.net because now I feel that there is a consistency in my life. I can cope. My laundry for the most part is caught up and my dishes are always done. It makes me feel good about myself that I can provide those things for my family. It is amazing what you can do in 15 minutes.
I have been working so hard at work, it is important to me that I am successful. This weekend will be a great relief. I am going to go check the cows and then dig out all of my fall decorations. I can't wait!!!!

Fall is Almost Here!!!

Fall is coming! It is my favorite time of the year. A chance to turn off the air conditioner and breathe the good country air. We have been so busy lately with everything....I bought a baby calf at the stockyards so we have been caring for him on a daily basis and the chicken are growing by leaps and bounds. We are getting 25 eggs a day...It is so much to keep up with. The girls are coming over tonight and we are going to finish a baby quilt. I can't wait for it to be done so that we can get started on another project.
Nate has been so busy with building fence it is a wonder that we every see each other. His birthday was last night and we had cake and ice cream....and pizza. It was all very good. He received some very nice gifts!
